Spicy Tomato Dill soup from the Door County restaurant, Summer Kitchen's cookbook and the No-Knead Bread from the Taste section in Thursday's Star Tribune. I threw out the bread recipe-and the bread, too! I questioned the amount of salt when I made it and actually used about half of what it called for and it was too much. I used about 30% whole wheat flour and I think it was just too heavy.

If fresh tulips are available, can spring be far behind?
The bowl is a Delftward tulip vase I got in Amsterdam. I had seen it one day we were walking down the street, but didn't buy it. The more I thought about it, the more I decided I wanted to buy it, so the last day we were in Amsterdam, we set out to walk to the store-in rain/snow and windy conditions. It's a good thing we did because I never saw another one which I liked as much as this one.

A bowl of winter sunshine. These are HoneyBells, a hybrid of a tangerine and a grapefruit which results in a sweeter, juicier fruit, are harvested in January and only available until gone . They are delicious and so juicy, they are supplied with a bib. I have never seen them in the store, purchasing mine on QVC or are available on the web.
