Today is my oldest grandson's 17th (I think) birthday. Happy Birthday, Billy. It was such a thrill to be present at his birth. My, how fast they grow up! The flowers are actually on another wedding cake for my son and his wife when we were in Green Bay celebrating their wedding with her family.

I had to look closely at these to be sure they were mushrooms/toadstools rather than birchbark.

I've always wanted a grandfather clock. Last week when we picked up our cuckoo clock after being repaired, I mentioned that to the clock repairer. He said, "I just happen to have a good deal on one." It was too good to pass up, so this entered our household. It has such a mellow tone I don't even hear it at night and delight hearing it every quarter hour.

Our new grand-kitties.

Fudge. Cuddling up to my knitting endeared him to me.
